By some bizarre twist of fate you've made your way to the Hellyeah Networks CA. We've put this together so we don't have to pay hundreds of dollars to Verisign or Thawte or some other commercial CA. However, the big hassle with doing this is that no one has the Hellyeah Root cert in their browser or system Root CA repository. So, if you're a Hellyeah slacker, you should probably go ahead and import the Root cert into your system. Here's how you do that.
Mac OS X Users:
- Download the Hellyeah Root cert
- Open the ca.crt file from the Finder
- You will be prompted by Keychain Access to add the cert to a keychain.
- Select the 'X509Anchors' keychain and click 'OK'. Enter your admin username and password when prompted.
That's it. You've now got the Hellyeah Root cert loaded for all Mac OS X applications that use the Keychain (Safari, Mail.app, etc.) If you run Firefox, Camino, Netscape or any other Mozilla based browser, please also follow the Mozilla directions below.
Mozilla based applications (Firefox, Netscape, Camino, Thunderbird):
- Download the Hellyeah Root cert
- You will be prompted to approve the cert
- Check 'Trust this CA to identify web sites'
- Check 'Trust this CA to identify email users'
- Click 'OK'
That's it. Now the Hellyeah Root cert is loaded into your Mozilla based aaplication.
Windows Users:
These instructions will install the Hellyeah Networks Root cert into the Windows trusted
CA store. This will keep you from getting errors when you check your mail with Outlook or
Outlook Express.
- Run Internet Explorer
- Download the Hellyeah Root cert
- Click 'Open' when IE presents you with a File Download warning
- The cert will be opened in a Certificate Information window
- Click 'Install Certificate...'
- This will open the Certificate Import Wizard
- Click 'Next'
- Let windows 'Automatically select the certificate store'
- Click 'Next'
- Click 'Finish' to finish importing cert
